Hello, I’ve recently been diagnosed with a melanoma in situ and had a WLE which I’m now waiting for results on. I have a lot of moles so my doctor has referred me for mole mapping on the NHS. I’m going tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience of full body mole mapping and what to expect please? Thanks
Hi Cheryl 82 welcome to the forum and glad at least 1 part of the treatment tis past for you, albeit waiting on results.
Because you have a lot of moles this can be a potential risk factor in the future so they will take some photos of all the moles and then they have a baseline of what all these moles look like and what size, colour etc. these will be kept on your medical record s for future should any of them cause you issues in the future. Hope that makes sense? You will most likely be in your underwear in a private room to have this done so just to be prepared for that.
Hope it goes well for you . xx
