Hi fist time on this group Advice and tips please. I am on my 3rd attempt at trying to tolerate dab/ tram. Smallest dose and last chance to take it. Anyone else have awful side effects? Today is day 7 and I’m in bed so I can make it to the bathroom.
So so ill. Awful diarrhoea, taking Loperamide but isn’t working now. About three to four hours after taking drug uncontrollable shivering and shaking lasting longer every day. Dizzy sometimes. Not eating due to feeling sick. Stomach aches Weakness every where. Am I normal? Drs want me to keep on it for 12 months.
Does it get any better how did you all cope?
Sorry to sound like a wimp. Thank you.
Hi IsabelleA and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I haven't had dab/tram but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi Isabellea I’m sorry to hear your having a rough week on the tram and dab treatment .i been on them 10 months now ,the first month I had extreme fatigue, nausea, chills, shakes, sweats, bad headaches, rashes and painful feet when I walked .cancer doctor gave me anti nausea tablets and strong painkillers which helped.thing's will settle down in a couple of weeks .I just take one day at a time and enjoy the better days .i rest when I feel fatigued .we are all in this fight together and you are stronger than u think as u have done a week already .i have got two more months left on the tablets but my ct scan has just come back clear .so I can say it’s been worth all the ups and downs for that result .I had stage 3 C cancer .im sending you s big hug and hope everyday will get easier for you .
Hi IsabelleA
Yes Ive had the same side effects and your not a whimp, it's bloody tough. Im now 2.5 months in. Ive stopped and started the tablets about 3 times since Feb and now im on my longest stint since starting. I do what I can when I can. Have you rung to tell them how you are feeling? Stay strong. You can do this. Sending hugs xx
