Hi, I'm through the stages of operations etc, and am so happy my cancer hadn't spread, but how do you cope with the terror that it's still lingering, waiting to return?
I am terrified it is going to come back. The slightest mark appears and I break.
Any advice appreciated, as I still worry things I do may be for the last time.
Hi
I think we just have to be positive and get on with our lives. We’ve had the best treatment available but there’s no guarantees. Try to stay healthy and make plans for outings, holidays- whatever you enjoy. Keep busy and active that’s all we can do. Regular checks mean if there are any changes they will be dealt with quickly. Hope this helps. Pots
Agreed with the reply below. I got the “all clear” a couple of weeks ago after my WLE but still feel like I’m in limbo land. I have my first appt with the derm team on Friday and I’m convinced they’ll find another dodgy mole. That being said - life’s such a blessing we just need to enjoy it and not worry about the I know xx
Yes, we're luckier than many!
I'll get there.
