Hi - a bit about me

My wife has had Mucosal Melanoma for about 15 months, a couple of relatively successful operations, but has been less lucky with Immunotherapy, where the combined drugs have caused colitis and the maintenance drugs are causing hepatitis. Luckily, we have got onto a drug trial which starts on 10th Oct after another operation on the 7th.

I'm hoping this community will help with filling the information gaps and I look forward to sharing the experiences if it is helpful.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your wife has been dealing with mucosal melanoma for some time now and that immunotherapy has not worked for her.

I've searched the group for previous posts which mention mucosal melanoma and found these for you to have a look through. You could then reply to any of the more recent posts if you feel that the poster may be able to help with any questions you have.

When you feel up to it, it would be great if you could pop something about your wife's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
