Hi, I'm new to the group. I have had a malignant melanoma removed and a sentinel node biopsy. I have just been recalled as the biopsy showed cells. I am waiting for 2 scans then further op to remove lymph nodes. I've been told that all being well I will be given immunotherapy. All feels very scary.
Hi Miffy, I'm in the same position as you, was told today melanoma had been found in the lymph nodes - I'm scared too :(
Hi Miffy, I had SNLB which showed melanoma cells so was due to start therapy but then scan showed in another lymph node so had to have lymph node removal in groin and abdomen. I was so scared of having the surgery and weeks in I'm recovering well and getting more mobile. Just waiting now for the results appointment then hopefully will be able to start the treatment. The waiting has been the worst part.
Good luck with the surgery, please let me know how you get on.
