Does anyone, for example, sit in the sun, with sun protection F50 on, when on holiday for v.small amounts of time, e.g, 20 mins at 5pm in Spain?! I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to achieve any kind of normal on family holidays where I used to sunbathe all day - obviously I won't be doing that anymore.... My stage is 1a if that helps and I'm awaiting results of my WLE so yes, I know a lot depends on that! I know we need a bit of sun for vitamin D and I know abt shade, covering up, high facror, I'm just wondering if anyone who has had melanoma has a more moderate approach than avoiding the sun totally unless totally covered that has worked for them? Thanks!
Hi Seaspray
I'll sit in the sun once the UV index is showing as 'low' for perhaps 20 minutes or so.

Just to add to my reply. Although I might sit out for a short time when the UV index is low, I'd still be covered up with sunscreen on any exposed areas, ie face, back of hands, etc. Also I'd sit with my back to the sun so it wouldn't be shining on my face.
