Hi All,
I have been diagnosed with malignant melanoma stage 3, I'm due to have my 1st meeting with the Oncologist tomorrow and I'm feeling extremely anxious and overwhelmed, don't feel like work and feel I need to keep a brave face on for my partner.
Anyone else experienced this?
Hi NSA2910,
sorry for your diagnosis. May I suggest you bring a notebook and pen with you. If you have any questions, write them down as you’ll forget them as soon as you walk into the consulting room. If you can bring someone to support you then do so, they could even write down what the oncologist says!
it is nerve wracking and you can feel overwhelmed, this is quite normal. They are used to dealing with every emotion imaginable.
Good luck for tomorrow x
