Feeling Thankful

Just had results back this morning after having a mole removed over 3 weeks ago.   It was malignant melanoma but luckily caught early. Still need to undergo WLE to be on the safe side but what an enormous relief. I could have hugged the consultant. I am so grateful that I found this site,  for the words of encouragement and knowing we are not alone in our most anxious times Heart️

  • Hi

I'm sorry to read that you've just discovered that a mole you've had removed is melanoma but it's great news that it's been caught early.

If you let us know where your melanoma was then those who have had a WLE in that area can tell you about their experiences. Mine was on my upper arm and fortunately there was enough skin on my arm that I didn't need a skin graft.

It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
