Hi all,
Coming to you with a (maybe) silly question this time!
I was diagnosed with 1b melanoma and had my WLE and SLNB back in September last year.
In Feb, I've been to Spain and Turkey for long weekend break and that was perfect, warm but not much UV.
Want to travel in April and May before highest summer UV hits south Europe.
So my question is how did you do your first holiday in the sun after your diagnosis? I'll wear high protection spf and clothes, a hat but still very anxious about the idea. Did you go out for sightseeing or did you stay in between 11-4 etc? It won't be a beach holiday but a city break.
TIA
Hi! I was diagnosed with a 1a mm on forearm in January. I’ve had the all clear from the WLE but still have lots of other moles to be checked out. We had already booked to go to Skiathos for week in June and we’re still going. We’ll do beach (for walks and swimming!) early morning or evening, I’ll wear factor 50 at all times as well as long sleeves and hat etc. in the heat of the day I’ll stay in the shade, I’ve chosen some bars are restaurants already! I’ve decided life is for living, just without a tan now!
