Hi
I’m asking on behalf of my Dad.
He has been diagnosed with one melanoma in situ needing no further treatment on his neck.
His face however has come back as a nodular melanoma on his cheek, needing WLE and a SNLB.
Naturally given the diagnosis, location etc he is anxious about the operation.
He’s been told he may need a drain to come home with?
Any experiences, and advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Hello,
Mine was about an inch or two in front of my ear, so not quite cheek but not far off.
I had the drain in while I was in hospital, so about a 1 night and then the following day it was removed in the evening before being sent home.
I know a few people who had them when they've gone home so hopefully they will chime in.
All the best,
