Good evening forum
Letter came through today from my last screening ,was helpful as it calmed my fears. Saw consultant 3 weeks ago after sending him some pictures of atypical looking mole on abdomen. Met up a few days later and he looked at the mole with dermascope and said it had irregular pigmentation and irregular borders and he wanted to do excision biopsy. Have to wait for biopsy, but after looking in to atypical moles am hoping what he saw was part of atypical features and he is doing excision biopsy as precaution.

Hi Andrew
I'm glad to read that the results from a previous screening have helped to calm your fears about your upcoming biopsy.
I had a mole removed from my back in the summer as my dermatologist thought that it had changed shape. It turned out to be a "slightly abnormal mole" - phew!
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you

Thanks latchbrook, really hoping it’s just abnormal, the consultant didn’t really give much away.
