Hello.

Please can someone help me feel positive .

Yesterday afternoon was told I had melanoma on nodes in groin area.

Shocked,shaken and upset.

No idea what's happening other than op within 2 weeks. Everything closed at weekend and my mind is doing overtime.

Has anyone been there and come out the other endGrinningGrinning

  • Hello , I’ve been there twice and come out the other end. In 2015 when too many nodes were affected in my groin and abdominal to use surgery, so I had targeted therapy then when it spread to my ovary I had immunotherapy, and became all clear. Then in 2018 a scan found it had come back again in 3 nodes, I suppose I’m not truelly out the other end yet, I went back onto the immunotherapy which worked on two of the nodes and the third was removed with surgery in March this year and I’m continuing on the immunotherapy until March next year, even though I’m all clear to help prevent it from reoccurring again.

Im not sure my story will stop your mind from going into overtime but I hope it’s of some hope for you. If you have any questions go ahead, or you may want to have a read of my profile by clicking on my user name. If you then click on blogs you can read more of my ramblings.

Its natural to feel shocked, shaken and upset until you build yourself up again to carry on.

    best wishes

    Take care KT
