Hi - I’m not really sure how this all works but thought I would give it ago. Not sure what group to join etc. I was diagnosed with stage 1 melonoma back in Feb this year but now over the past few months had two other stage 1 melonomas so 3 in total. They’ve now taken another 5 samples and I’m expecting results in September. I guess I’m just wanting to see how others are coping and see what other experiences people are having.

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community and the melanoma group in particular.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had a total of 3 melanomas diagnosed with another 5 more that you're waiting for results on. I had one melanoma removed in October 2016 followed by a WLE and SLNB the following February. I'm now on 3 monthly check-ups and everything's going fine so far, touch wood.

I don't suppose the waiting for results has got any easier for you but it's good that your consultant is obviously being very thorough. It's better to have anything worrying removed before it has a chance to get bigger.

Let us know how you get on with the results due in September and pop back anytime if you want to ask anything about treatment, etc or if you just want to have a bit of a rant.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

  • Hi

How are you and have you had the results yet for your recent biopsies?
