I was told on Friday 9th August I have stage 1b malignant melanoma. At the appointment I had a further two biopsies for suspicious moles. I have an appointment to meet the plastic surgeon on 19th August to discuss WLE and will get the results from those biopsies.
I know I’m very lucky it’s been caught early but I’m still scared about what might happen. I cried a lot yesterday but I think it’s just the shock.

Hi Sunny15,
Welcome and sorry you’re having to join us. It is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and as you say you probably are in shock at the moment.
My initial diagnosis was 1a and even though things have since progressed and got worse (although hopefully now ok) I have never cried as much as after that initial diagnosis.
Fingers crossed for you that the next two biopsies are clear. It’s a fantastic community here, so please do ask about any questions/concerns about the WLE once you’ve had time to digest it.
Best wishes,
Kate
