Just to update I've been for my consultation with all and been informed it is Acral lentigious Melanoma 1.6mm thickness stage 1B.

Specialist wanted to process with WLE and SNLB within next 2 weeks but I told him I need my holiday.

Potentially now around 16th Sept so had all my pre ops done ready.

Feeling relieved to be honest as i have a clear vision of next stages and had a very good chat to all. So glad I didn't ignore the dirty mark between my 2 toes. I may end up with a toe missing but feeling so much better !

  • Hi

I'm glad to hear that you're feeling relieved now you know exactly what you're dealing with.

I hope that you have a lovely holiday and can forget about it until nearer the time. Don't forget to update your travel insurer!

  • I've already done it. I rang them last week. They've excluded it from my policy until further op. I then have to call them on final results.

  • That's good . I'd hate for you to need to claim for something else and they worm their way out because you hadn't declared the melanoma.

I have an annual policy and they did exactly the same as your travel insurer. They excluded it initially but once I'd had the results back from the WLE and SLNB and I was able to tell them that there wasn't any evidence of spread they were happy to fully cover me again.

    Have a lovely time

I’m wondering if you still check this site. I’d like to chat about your toe cancer. I have a spot between my toes, too.

  • Hi  and welcome to the online community

I noticed that your reply to Shelvox had gone unanswered and that's probably because they no longer come on to the community.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you start your own post about the lesion you have between your toes as it'll then be seen by the other members of the group who may have had a similar experience.

Have you been to a GP about this yet?

  • Apologies for not writing sooner. I really don't know where the time has gone. Are you any further forward with your toes.
