Possible subungal melanoma

Hi , I’m sorry to hear you are in limbo at the moment, sometimes getting closure wether it’s good or bad news is better than the in limbo feeling. Subungal or acral lentiginous melanoma is quite rare, I haven’t had that type I had an unknown primary. Most melanoma diagnosis’s start with a referral from the GP to a dermatologist who makes the decision as to wether a suspected melanoma is removed by an excision biopsy by a plastic surgeon. So I’m expecting your next appointment to just be a dermatologist having a look through an eye piece. The time for referral for surgery and from surgery to get the results varies from area to area so unfortunately my reply of ask at your next appointment is going to sound a bit like a cop out. I’m hoping the next link will be of some help to you.
