Welcome to everyone who's joined us during the last month.
If you haven't posted yet and want to ask a question just click on Start A Discussion, which you'll see near the top of the page, or reply to this post. There are lots of people on here whose experiences cover all stages of melanoma, so lots of advice is available.
Another way of looking for information is to use the search bar near the top of the page to search for old threads covering what you're looking for.
If you haven't yet completed your profile when you have a minute could you pop something about your journey so far into it as it really helps others when answering. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
When you reply to someone it can be useful if you know how to 'tag' them so that they get an email telling them they've had a reply. The following is a link to an easy step by step guide to tell you how to do this.
For those of you waiting for results remember to come back and tell us how you get on!

Dear all, welcome to July, and the melanoma discussion group. You might not have a question but you might have some feeling to express, as the saying goes they are better out than in.
Like why do people say enjoy the sunshine as a chirpy end to an email !!? and why can we sometimes let that brush over us and other times just growl at the screen !
If you’ve just joined the group, or never posted and want to introduce yourself in a discussion and complete your profile please do, and if you want to join in and support others don’t hold back as that’s what the site is for.
Take care KT
I have to agree KTatHome with the chirpy email message that starts or finishes with something along the lines of " I hope you've managed to get out and enjoy all this lovely sunshine".
Now I just grit my teeth when this is from someone who doesn't know me and my circumstances but I do start to silently fume when it's from a friend who knows that I can't enjoy the sun like they can.
However, do I say anything, no. I can't decide if that's because I can't be bothered to explain the whole sun/melanoma thing again or because, in a strange way, it makes me feel like a normal person again.
Anyone else feel like this?
