Appointment tomorrow

I always get anxious when I get a letter and when there are appointments- it's very natural.

I wonder if it is that the consultant prefers to check the site where the mole was excised to check for healing and to check that you have recovered. It could also be that there could be follow up checks/ or they want to go over what to do yourself- if you have anything else pop up in the future. Some consultants just prefer to see you. 

I never had any results by letter, they were always a phone call or appointment.

Thanks Jane for your reply. Maybe I am overthinking everything but at least it’s not long to wait now. I had an ultrasound on Tuesday because of high liver results and they found 2 polyps on my gallbladder which I am getting a referral done for. So just something else to batter my mind with

Hi LadyBaba – I have had face to face that was to check all my other moles after I had one that was severely dysplastic. Years later I was again called in for severe dysplasia as doctors wanted to review the need for WLE to be super-cautious. So, treat as melanoma but not melanoma!! Until you get there you won't know what it is. Sounds like you have a lot going on, so hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. Thinking of you and sending good wishes for tomorrow. x
