First oncologist visit

hi all

i wish we had all met in better circumstances. I’m taking my dad for his first oncology visit on Thursday . We know he has a tumor in his bowel and has moved to his liver and lungs . By the research I have done so far I’m pretty sure we will be told it’s stage 4. Are there any specific questions I should be asking ?

    We got the news this week that our mum has got secondary lung cancer. Everything seems like a blur so I’ve turned to this group to make sure I ask the right questions. I hope you get what you need for your dad. I’ve done some research into trials but not sure how the process would work. I’ve also looked at different treatments as surgery is not an option. 

Help us do whatever it takes, because we’ve never been needed more.
