Where to start .... from being diagnosed and beginning a curative care plan I now find myself down a rabbit hole .... left lower lobe lobectomy and wedge section surgery followed by right upper loblobectomy and wedge. It appears this cancer is genetically driven so now on palliative care plan. Feeling rather battered and defeated. Basically need a kick start after 2nd surgery. Any ideas welcome .....
Hi hedgewitch
Just dropping in because I noted your post had not had any replies yet.
My wife's cancer is very different but was incurable from the start so we never had the switch from a cure plan to something else but I have certainly seen many others go through the same.
I had never heard of that particular form of cancer before, it is of course a common issue that there are just so many different forms.
I can certainly understand the feeling of being battered, having gone through so much already in the search of a cure, people often describing fighting cancer it is easy to see this as a defeat. It can really help to speak to people so glad you posted on here and hope perhaps that gives you a bit of a lift.
<<hugs>>
Steve
