Hi all, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in April and had lobectomy 1st May. I’m still recovering from the surgery.
I’m here to connect with who have experienced this. Hopefully I’m able to support others as help too!
Hi BeautyLife
sorry to hear about your diagnosis , I hope you are on your way to recovery ,
my dad is currently going through chemo and immunotherapy and will be having a Lobectomy later in the year. How have you found the operation and recovery ? Did you have it via keyhole surgery, ?
much love
Hello, I hope your recovery is going well. I had an upper right lobectomy 2 years ago now and all is well, at least the scans say so. I walked every day after the operation, initially 4 times daily just round a small square. I kept this going until I felt I was able to walk further. I had sufficient pain relief to keep me active and I also rested when my body said so. I got back to a new normal relatively quickly.
I hope you’re feeling better by now and any difficulties have resolved themselves.
Are you having any further treatment? I decided that percentage wise the chances of it helping were quite small.
All the best Daisy
