Hello, I'm not sure what to say.

My mum has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer.  I don't live in the same country as her.  I have been flying back often to be here for chemo sessions.  I am not coping well. But I have not let mum know this.

I'm struggling and dont know how to cope with all the family dynamics.

  • Hi  it is very stressful when a loved one is diagnosed with cancer, I cannot imagine how difficult it is for you to be flying back and forth in able to support your mum.
You have taken the first step in getting support for yourself by joining us here. This is a safe space to come and off load some of the weight you are carrying, and chat to people who are in a similar situation to yourself. You can also look to join the Family and friends forum where you can meet other people supporting loved ones with cancer.

Wishing you and your mum all the very best.
