I have just received my diagnosis with right hand lung cancer grade 4, also spread to Lymph Nodes in neck and stomach. It is not curable but have said I will be having chemo and immunotherapy. Not sure of anything else at moment, all such a shock.
Hi Lady Di , I had top right Lobectomy 6 months ago and they took some lymph nodes, they were cancerous, in June I was diagnosed stage 4 in my pleura and in centre of chest. Had 4 rounds of Chemo and Immunotherapy and there has been no change , I have decided no more treatment for me as I want quality of life. I thought I would be fine after the Lobectomy, how wrong was I. Second diagnosis was the shock for me.
I'm so sorry to hear that, obviously I am hopeful that treatment will stop any further spread and kill off in my Lymph Nodes but obviously only time will tell.
I could of had immunotherapy for 2 years , but my symptoms were to bad , for me I couldn't take the way I felt , but everyone is different. Hold on to your hope because its all we have. I have a very loving supportive family and that's all I need. I feel strong at the moment , now all my chemo/immunotherapy are out of my system, just had a tightness in my chest a d a bit of pain at times , but I am happy
