any help out there please .I finished my treatment (radiotherapy) on Oct 6th and i was waiting for an appointment to scan the nodule to see what the treatment has achieved .However i have had notification of a telephone appointment on 16 th november which has left me totally confused as they don't know the results of the treatment so i am wondering what this is all about .Any ideas ???
Hi deaco because radiotherapy continues to work for some time after the treatment has finished, side effects will build up over the coming weeks. I wonder if this is a telephone call to see how you are coping. It’s hard to tell if this is the case. You could phone your lung nurse, she will be able to tell you the reason for the appointment.
My husband finished his 25 fractions on 8th Sept....he has seen oncologist for a chat....First time since April.....he has had 4x3 triple chemo ....a trial drug ...plus 14 months of immunotherapy......after a PET scan he had surgery a thorectomy upper left lobe.VATs was unsuccessful.......CT scan booked for 16th November .....this is to see if all treatments have been successful.......I feel as though I am falling at final fence.....but its been 21 months non stop xxx.
