am having chemo and immunotherapy I think at moment but it’s not working. So feeling a bit low. And alone an lonely. So looking for people to talk to. and make friends. My partner left me on Tuesdaas well she was looking after me but can’t handle it all want her only life.
Hi Aaron, welcome to the group but sorry you have to join us here.
I am sorry to hear about your diagnoses. I wondered if you had a recent scan and that is why you think the treatment is not working? Or this is just a feeling you have?
I am truly sorry about your partner. There are some words I would like to use to describe her, but I shan’t waste my energy on her, and nor should you. My husband left me when I was first diagnosed. We had only been married a year. He was a coward, and once he decided to go I let him, I had no strength to fight for a marriage that he obviously didn’t want to be in. And I decided I really didn’t want to be with someone who basically didn’t care enough for me to stick around. That was a very long time ago, and I’ve been with my partner now for 9 years, and he truly is the best thing that cancer has done for me, because we wouldn’t of been together without my diagnoses.
Do you have family and friends around you for support ? Any relationship breakup is difficult, and I hope you have someone to talk to.
Hi Chelle
Thank you for your nice words.
I have just got back from the hospital seeing my cancer doctor. So I have been on pembrolizumab snd pemetrexed abd carboplatin I have had two round off it. It’s not working from my scan last week is all spread to my spine and neck. But my lung is stable. So they wanted to stop all treatments with me but I have pushed to try something else. Docetaxel so fingers crossed something happens. Scared it’s going make me feel sick tho.
yes am gutted about my partner she was my best friend we went to school together. am sorry to here you when though the same thing people you think you know do turn out funny don’t they. But sound like your a lot better off now how did you meet?
yes I do have family but not friends that’s why I have come on here to talk and try am find someone to talk to and make some friends. It’s all a bit hard
hope to here from you again
best wishes
Aaron.
I am really sorry to hear about the recent scan, that is tough news so early into your treatment.
Hopefully someone who has been on Docetaxel will be along soon to share their experience with you.
I met my partner at work, so he was already aware of my situation, which definitely made things easier.
