i am a 74 year old man with lung cancer .i finished my treatment on friday the 6th of october .I had 5 sessions of radiotherapy .I feel ok but very wobbly and very tired i was expecting the tiredness but the problems with balance is a surprise .can anyone tell me if this is normal
Hi deaco
You must be pleased you finished your treatment, and can get back to some sort of normal.
There are all sorts of side effects with treatment fatigue is very normal however when you say you have problems with balance can you be a little more specific what problems are you having, are you feeling dizzy or do you have numbness or some other balance problem, it would help to know the specifics, then someone with same or similar will be able to offer advice. Radiotherapy continues to work long after the treatment is complete and therefore side effects can develop and subside as time moves on.
Whatever our issue is I would advise you speak to your nurse specialist if you have one or try and speak to you consultant.
Have a lovely day
Donna
