New to the group. Just been told that because of co-morbidities that I have no further treatment options, so it's Pensivepalliative care for me now!

Anyone got any ideas etc to help cope? Trying to stay positive but it's difficult Pray

  • HI suzy , I'm Tracy, I haven't been thro what your going thro iam so sorry to hear u r now palliative, I'm sorry I can't help but someone will be along  that's  in sane situation, there's a lot of sHeartrong people on the forum , brave people , fighters, scared people I hope  someone comes along soon and can help u Heart️

  • Hi SuzieQ3

Not sure I can say much to help. If you want to read my story so far tap on my avatar.

You don't say if you've had any treatment at all and if you have if it was positive for you. Trying to stay positive is a good route to take, it certainly can't do any harm. I wish I could give you some good advice that would help you all I can say is if you want a chat I'm here I'm a good listener and I will give you all the support I can. Palliative care doesn't have to mean this is the end of the road, you could live with this for some time so while you can have fun, be happy and make good memories.

Sending you a big hug, please take it and know your not alone have a lovely weekend

  • I am in the same situation as of yesterday.  My Oncologist is contacting macmillan for me , hopefully they will be in touch soon. I had 4 rounds of 2 different chemo and there has been no change , I could of had 2 yrs of Immunotherapy,  but have decided I do not want to continue.  I want quality for whatever time I have left.

  • Thanks Donna,  I had SABRE Radiotherapy and 6 years later was told it had returned!     At the moment I'm not feeling too positive but sure I will get there. Thanks for the hug, I needed that. X

  • Hi Tracy, thanks for those positive thoughts, I'm not giving up yet! X
