Hello

49 yo female - just had thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer which hadn’t spread to lymph nodes.

before they found that cancer they knew I had a suspected neuroendocrine tumour on my middle lobe right lung. Due for surgery in less than 2 weeks - has anyone else had wedge resection and if so how was it and what was your recovery time please? Also interested to hear from anyone with experience of lung NET.
thanks

  • Hello Flower,

I am sorry to hear that you have had  a diagnosis and treatment for papillary thyroid cancer. I see that you are having surgery to remove a neuroendocrine tumour from your lung.

I had a different type of cancer to you so hope that you do not mind me replying but I am hoping by doing so someone will see the post and offer support.

In the meantime I have found some information that may help. If you scroll to half way down the page it talks about wedge resections and recovery.
