Hi. I’m currently awaiting bronchoscopy. I’ve been told that I have a 7cm mass in my left lung and a 4cm in my right lung.
All very scary stuff, and any advice would be appreciated.
Ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable about the procedure and try to get concrete information about when the results will be available to you.
My mass was malignant (and I have a new unwelcome visitor at the moment), but knowing what the treatment options would be even before the biopsy is something I found reassuring.
Hi I also have a 7cm tumour in left lung and in one lymph node adjacent also inoperable due to the location.. I had a CT guided biopsy. I got my results from the consultant in a week when we also discussed my treatment plan. . I am having what he referred to as aggressive radiotherapy which means I am having 5 days a week for 4 weeks and also chemotherapy once a week at the same time. Possibly followed by immunotherapy. Ask lots of questions I wrote mine down so I didn’t forget and take someone with you if you can . It is very hard and frightening at first but it does feel better when you know exactly what the treatment plan is. Good luck with the biopsy and I hope that you do not have to wait to long for the results
