Hi, I am new to this group, I was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in April, to date I have had 5 lots of radiotherapy and may be about to start immunotherapy. My consultant has concerns over this though because of my age (75) and my general health. Has anybody else had an experience like this under similar circumstances?
Hi Ozzydad, welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. I have had radiotherapy but I haven’t had immunotherapy so I cannot comment on that. Immunotherapy is a wonderful drug and people have had wonderful results from it, but like all drugs, people react in different ways. I assume that if you do start immunotherapy and you are not getting along with it, you can stop, but might well be worth a try? Something to think about, but hopefully someone else who has had immunotherapy will be along to share their experience with you.
Hi sorry you are here, though welcome.
I had chemo and a heart attack, i was offered immunotherapy, and accepted it, i had no problems what so ever, while on it, I was no youngster,.
Every one is so different,i did it for the two years, cycle, i would do it again if i had to,
