hello thanks for having me my husband has recently been diagnosed with a carcinoid lung tumour - biopsy wasnt conclusive if it was typical or atypical so waitng a lobectomy then results of that biopsy will tell us more. Hoping surgery will be curitive. we had never heard of a carcinoid tumour apparently they are rare. its all a bit overwhelming never been to so many hospital appointments in my life.. Thought it would be useful to join this forum to get other perspectives of this journey we are all being taken on against our will. My husband would never go on anything like this but i will share anything interesting with him to help him through.
My friend had a carcinoid tumour after an inconclusive biopsy. Had a lower left lobectomy and no chemo. She’s fit and well and that was 23 years ago
