Hello everyone,
As the title suggests im new here, I don't have lung cancer myself but have just found out my mum does. Im terrified for her, for me and my family.
My mum has a 6cm mass in her left lung which she has just been told is inoperable at the moment, she requires 3 rounds of chemo to shrink the mass and then another scan to see if its worked, if it works they will remove the mass and possibly whole lung, followed by another round of chemo, radio therapy and imuno therapy.
I'm hoping I can find support and answers here from all the lovely people, maybe even have some answers as I go through this journey with my mum.
Hi happybunny12 welcome to the group, but really sorry to hear about your mum. It really is terrifying when you hear that a loved one has cancer. I hope you find the group helpful, but you can also join the carers-only-forum and the family-and-friends-forum for support from other members who are supporting loved ones.
Please ask as many questions as you need, there is always someone here to chat too and share experiences with.
