I have stage 3 nsclc, i've had chemoradiotherapy and finished my treatment in november ( 33 days of rad and 12 days of chemo on week 1 and week 3 ). I had a CT scan in january and was told that my tumour is now half the size it was, i'm waiting now on another scan in may and the results in june.
I'm still tired and exhausted and still have pain in my lung/chest area, didnt seem to get much sense from my consultant in January as to why i'm still feeling lousy only that it can take a while. Anyone else still suffering 5months after treatment.
Hello chilli, im new here too. Hope you are managing to get some rest.
Thank you, sending your mum and your family positive vibes as you all start your treatment journey
Thank you, long road ahead but I'm trying to stay positive.
Hi Chillipep welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here.
I haven’t had chemo, but I have had radiotherapy, and it took me a good 6 months after the treatment before I started to feel better. The tiredness from the radiotherapy was exhausting, and that did continue for months after.
It is really good to hear that the scan in January showed such good shrinkage, and as the radiotherapy is still working in your body, I am sure the next scan will be just as positive for you. X
Thanks for the reply chelle, reassuring that its normal to feel so tired lkng after treatment ️
