I joined a few years back,.a snivelling wreck, I have lung cancer but with 20 doses of radiotherapy at the beginning  I'm still here thank-you god..I see oncologist  every six months that's it..I see him this next month and as usual I have fingers eyes knees crossed....I'm hoping that those just diagnosed will take comfort in someone that had no magic pills and only radiotherapy  is still going strong..it gets better believe me..I learnt to live with the sword  of (that fellow..from Greek legend)hanging over me,,take courage prayers for us all..I know lots of people don't believe..I do so ill pray for us anyway,,   hang tough..xx

  • Hi  I remember so well how worried you were about having the radiotherapy, and also how concerned you were that no other treatment had been offered! So good to see that you are doing so well after treatment, it is really important for new members to see the success stories, and to see that radiotherapy is just as important a treatment as chemotherapy.

It is so lovely to see you back here posting after such a long time. After your first initial weeks of panic, your posts turned to warm, funny and encouraging posts, it was always lovely to hear from you. Although we have lost a few members, there are still a few pre covid members still here, and it is so nice when I see their names pop up. I may even bring back the old chat thread which we all loved so much x
