Hi I am new to this group,would like some advice if anyone could help.i have lung cancer stage 3 but soon to be stage 4.i am having treatment at the moment and on month 3..I suffer really bad with constipation. Does anyone in my situation also suffer with this? I've taken all the laxatives the doctors have prescribed and tried changing my diet but nothing seems to work or shift me..any remedies would be great or ideas,thank you hayley

Hi Haze,

The only laxative I used, when the pain killers locked me up, was Lactulose. It's a liquid so it's way easier to control than tablets. I have a bad feeling your doctors would have already given this to you, but just in case...

Hello Haze, I had the same awful problem during chemo. Don't know what your docs have given you but my GP prescribed Movicol which worked (at absolute maximum dose plus a bit more!).

I hope you get this sorted quickly, it really is not what you need to contend with alongside everything else.

Made in 1956. Tested to destruction.
