Had a chest x Ray yesterday, as I am very breathless, and to find out if it's pleural effusion. I have stage 4 SCLC, diagnosed three years ago, I have had 3x6 rounds of chemo, and 5 treatments of radiotherapy, to reduce a tumour in the lymph nodes in my neck. 2 weeks ago, I had another 5 radiotherapy treatments, as I had a lot of pain in my shoulder, caused by the tumour. I have been tremendously lucky, in that up to about 6 weeks ago, I was symptom free. I am asking has anyone been treated for this, i.e. drained? I am pretty stalwart, but am worried that the treatment is going to be very painful.
