Hi all
itcjas only been two weeks since my private MRI scan and…..
I am waiting for the final results from histology, etc but it is 99% certain the primary is lung. It has spread extensively to my bones - the pain in my spine is unbearable due to constant spasms. Any tips, please?
Hi LCSTS Welcome to the group, but I am sorry to hear your news. Have you been given any pain killers to help you? If not please do contact your GP. I do not have any personal experience with bone mets, but from what I have seen from others on the site, they have had improvement with pain once treatment starts.
Hope you don’t have to wait too long for the histology so you can start treatment soon .
Oh my - I could have written this. I’m on exactly same situ.
managing the spasms during the night is hard. I’m on a cocktail of drugs - Pregablin, slow release morphine, amitryptyline, 500 ibruprofen and paracetamol and a few others.
im being moved onto another one tomorrow I believe. I’m propped up in bed with pillows but not too low so that can use the frame attached to my bed to pull up.
have you requested a frame to fit on your bed?
