hi the wife has just been told today that it looks like her cancer has come back(2 tumours were found on lung dec 21 had radical radiotherapy april22,first 3month scan looked okay, however next one showed something on lung due to bad kidney function she was unable to get a contrasted scan. But today specialist said they had reviewed the pictures and in all likely hood something has returned. Anyway now to cut a long story short he says that they have explored all options and that she is not a candidate for any other treatment(due to her ill health)now we will just have to try and treat any symptoms as and when they occur. Sorry for being so long winded but just still having this news sink in we don't know where to turn to or what to do for the best next.
Hi tommyann I am so sorry to hear that you received this news today. You must still be in shock, it will take some time for this to sink in.
Not knowing what your wife’s health is like, I wouldn’t know if she was eligible for any trials, but this may be something to consider. You can ask your wife’s oncology consultant if there is anything available in your area.
