I am very scared to have lung cancer

My main GP is ill, do I need to go to a lung specialist myself. But I am so scared. I have no Idea how to manage this to go there alone on my own since I am convinced I have lung cancer. My symptoms tell me this. I read a lot here and it is very seldom stage 1 or 2. Mostly 3 and 4. That is what is very scary. 

I think you will need to receive a referral from your GP before seeing anyone else. Please see if you can make an appointment as soon as possible. I know that it’s a very scary time but take your courage in both hands. I suspect most people here have been scared and fearful so understand where you are coming from. All the best

Just rereading your letter anxiety can cause all sorts of weird symptoms. Have you thought you could be having menopause symptoms or arthritis? 
Dr Google can be very unhelpful so I suggest you give him a miss. Love xx

I am a man. No I did not check arthritis. Do not think I have arthritis. 

My other symptoms are also worrying me cause they look very much like the stuff I have read about lung cancer. I am already taking anxiety medication but it does not help to get my anxiety that I have lung cancer into control. I have no one and am completely desperate that I have lung cancer and it has spread. Lung cancer seems very deadly that is my worst fear. 

Yeah I have huge respect of the courage of the people here. I am such an anxious person that I literally are fear paralyzed because of my symptoms and the fact that lung cancer is one of worst cancers. Else I would not be that super panicked.

I do empathise with you on the difficulties of handling anxiety. I’ve suffered from it over long periods of my life and it can make you feel so ill. Lung cancer is so often discovered as the result of some other investigations and early diagnosis is not easy. I was diagnosed in April as the result of a lung health check programme. I had no idea I had cancer. I’ve since had a lobectomy and just had my first follow up scan. Please, please make a GP appointment because the sooner a diagnosis is made (whatever the outcome), the sooner you will be treated. 

BTW, I had been a smoker for many years and tried giving up many times, quite successfully until anxiety hit. It was rather a prop for me. I’ve finally managed to kick the habit over the last 10 years. It’s taken a long time.

Thx for your answer! I have a problem that my GP is ill till the end of the week. And I do not know if to wait till my GP is back from illness or try to get to another doc who is specialist for lungs. But the doc has bad ratings and is in another city.

Since lung cancer is an insane fast spreading cancer I have no clue what to do now. Wait for GP who is informed about my symptoms or go to the lung specialist tomorrow. I am completely lost now.
