Hi everyone so I got my treatment plan at last …. Combined chemo ( carboplatin and paclitaxel )once a week / radio every day mom to fri for 6 weeks followed if I’ve got the appropriate markers with immunotherapy as follow on … they said it was a brutal regime but they are aiming for a curative outcome ( this was tempered with the high % of recurrences though ) so hope with one hand , downed with the other !!! Starts Halloween so I need a witch hat and stripey tights to wear much love Elly x
Hi Elly, it is great they are treating this with a cure in mind. Fingers crossed you can have immunotherapy at a later date as well.
I’ve not had chemo so I can’t share any experience of that, but I have had radiotherapy if you have any questions before your treatment starts xx
Thanks Chelle , I’m so knackered tonight I can’t tell you … so off for an early night …but yes thanks I’m sure I will have questions once my brain returns from outer space so thank you
Thank you love , I’m only tentatively hopeful at the mo ,how did the EBUS go ? X
Hi. Well I finally got my appointment letter this morning, but still got a few weeks to wait, appointment 22/11 Was hoping it would be sooner, good thing is it’s with my oncologist, he’s back from extended sick leave, so glad it’s not with a new oncologist. It’s the not knowing what’s happening with my treatment that’s hard. Trying to stay positive, but as the appointment gets nearer I will be a nervous and frightened wreck.
Sue x
