Hi,
My hubby has SCLC, Pancreatic Cancer and mets to Liver stage 4.
We live in N.Ireland, the hospital started him on Chemo/ immunotherapy 4 cycles only. Chemo worked and shrunk the tumors, he is now on Immunotherapy every 3 weeks.
I am so frightened because the consultant said his prognosis is still the same, only months left
We were hoping if tumors shrunk, he has a better chance?
I keep reading all research and apparently immunotherapy also helps shrinking of the tumors etc, so there must be a chance?
Can anyone advice and help us?
X
Hi Christi welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your husband. This must be very hard on you both. Here in the lung group we are all either cancer patients, or supporting someone with lung cancer, and I don’t feel that anyone here will be able to advice you as we are not medically qualified. Can I please suggest you call the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 00 00 where one of the Macmillan advisors can support you better with this. It is a free call number and they are available 7 days a week from 8am until 8pm.
You can also join the Supporting someone with incurable cancer forum where you can connect with other people who are supporting loved ones with an incurable cancer.
Take care x
