I was diagnosed with non small cell Adeneocarcinoma of the lung and in the right lower chest wall in May and was naturally terrified. I have had 5 Radiothereaphy treatments and will meet withthe Consultant this week to discuss next steps - possibility of Immunotheraphy is suitable. I am in quite a lot of pain which as expected got worse during radiotheraphy. Just wanted to join this forum for support and to hear others experiences really. I guess I am just afraid and worried about the future.
Hi Kaycee welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. I am sorry to hear that you are in pain after the radiation. I also had 5 sessions of radiation, and I know how this feels. My oncologist described it as the worst sunburn but on the inside, and that was the best description of it. If you haven't done so already, speak to your GP about pain killers to help with this.
Feeling worried and anxious is only natural. I hope the appointment with your oncologist goes well this week. Let us know how you get on x
Thank you chellesimo. Yes that is a good description - also like the worst toothache ever. I am taking morphine with paracetamol and Ibuprofen which help. Just want to ge tomorrow over really to see what they have planned.
