Hello everyone,

I'm 60 and have Stage 4 lung cancer. I found out last October. I live in France and am being treated for the cancer at a local hospital. I'm very glad to have founfd this forum and website. I hope this community will provide me with some support and also hope that I can be of help to others.

Best to all

  • Hello boracay

welcome to the forum but sorry you find yourself here. You don’t say what type of lung cancer you have or what treatment plan you have a little more detail might help.
i have NSCLC which is responding to treatment at the moment and I’m dry pleased it is, I’m 58 and when I was diagnosed last December I was very shocked.

how are you doing and how is your treatment going for you.

look forward to hearing from you

  • Hi hamhat,

Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I just found the forum so i didn't really know what to say (about myself and/or my cancer) as an introduction.

I also have NSCLC in my lung which is responding well to 3-weekly treatment with ALIMTA ( pemetrexed disodium) chemotherapy for the moment. However, I'm suffering from immunotherapy side effects from the first cycle of chemo-immuno therapy in Dec-Jan, which still gives me trouble breatihng at times, so I am also taking oral cortisone daily for that.

  • Hiya Boracay

Your chemotherapy and immunotherapy side effects will improve just hang in there, I had issues in the beginning, I’m much better now. We have the same cancer type I have NSCLC, so I really do sympathise with you.

give yourself time, I do hope you have lots of support around you in France, I am always happy to chat if you need an ear

    hugs Donna xxx
