  • Hi Babypink

firstly I would like to welcome you to this forum, bot I’m sorry you find yourself here. I was diagnosed with lung cancer December 21 my cancer is treatable but not curable. I have a treatment plan which at the moment is working for me.

the cancer journey is different for everyone, however none of us has to struggle with pain, your GP should be able to help with this or if your husband had a specialist nurse you could contact them. You don’t say if you have a treatment plan in place so it is difficult to know how best to support you and your husband with the pain. I would suggest you call them a Macmillian help line.

I am happy to chat with you anytime

    hugs Donna

  • hi i have just been given a very similar diagnosis and i am only 52, i have stomach cancer that has spread to my lungs , i don't yet have a treat meant plan. first as for the pain get straight onto your doctor and they will give you some thing to help in the short term . have you spoken with a macmillan nurse yet , if not get in contact with them , they can defiantly help. it all seems very scary and confusing at the moment, but the only way i am managing to cope is deal with one thing at a time , and as stupid as it sounds try to keep your mind busy , as i have found if i  start thinking my mind plays tricks on me . know these thoughts are not true but i can't stop it . hope this has helped feel free to message me
