  • I’ve just had a lobectomy. I had to wait to see my surgeon for a couple of weeks. After seeing him I’ve waited 5 weeks for the procedure and had last Monday due to a cancellation. I would certainly go and see the surgeon you can always change your mind later on. They’ll be able to tell you how large the nodule is. My understanding is that the earlier they catch and treat lung cancer the better your chances of living a longer life. The cancer nurse told me it was the only time with lungs that they could mention the word cure.

Good luck whatever you decide. X

  • Thankyou daisychain .i am hoping it will not be long .i dont think i can cope with the stress .they said it is 2cm now and want to remove it while its small as there is more chance of a cure .i am hoping it can be done by keyhole surgery
