Hi there!Raising hand tone2‍♀️ My first post as I only joined today.I’m in week three of my second chemo cycle and still feeling utterly fatigued. Worse than the first.

I can do something for about an hour max, and then feel dreadful and have to lie down for a few hours. Hate it. Any tips? Xx

  • Just listen to your body... Its telling you to rest and heal...... Sorry that you are on this site.... But you will find support.

  • Aw thanks for your advice  Cei b. I will do. Hope you’re healing and happy as you can be. Xx

  • Hi QueenHope welcome to the group, but sorry you find yourself here. Fatigue is an awful side effect of chemo, just try and do little bits when you can, but as Cei b has said, rest when you need to. You need to keep your strength up and rest is the best thing, it is your bodies way of telling you you need to rest x

  • I also feel extremely tired.  Struggle to do anything, even sit up.  Was wondering if this could be caused by very low mood. Or maybe even something physical like blood counts etc..   X

  • I haven't started any treatment as yet.

  • Hi QueenHope

The positive effects of treatment are cumulative; unfortunately so are the negative side effects.  Chemo can impact on the  blood cell count, especially the red cell count, which does increase fatigue,  Are you due a blood test?
