Hi Hem123 welcome to the group, but sorry to hear about your Dad. It is so upsetting when a loved one receives a cancer diagnoses. You have said that you are not getting much information. Is this because your Dad is withholding information from you? or has he not been given a treatment plan? 

Hi Chelle, thanks for your msg. My dad is not withholding as we are with him throughout his consultations. It's all very slow in moving things forward and its frustrating to get answers we just get passed from the nurses to the gp to then back to wait for an appointment.. He hasnt been offered a treatment plan. We have had to ask for it.sorry for the whinge it just feels like he are being treated like a number not a human being

Sorry if I ask you some questions, but I want to see if I can help you. Who has told your Dad he has stage 4 lung cancer? What tests has he had so far? 

So my dad has a biopsy about 3 weeks ago but also recently did a ct scan to see how his lungs were doing. Heartbreakingly we saw the rapid spread of the lung cancer in a period of 3 month. Along with this all the marker tests that they had taken from the biopsy came back negative too so no target treatment is available. Therefore it's palliative care based on the aggressiveness of the cancer. So heartbroken. It's our dad he was fit and strong 6months ago. This is all so surreal. There must be something we can do to help surely. It's now just a matter if time
