Hi, I am new here and had a third of my right lung removed 5 months ago. I am still feeling breathless carrying out household tasks, I find it difficult to exercise as I have arthritis. Does anyone know how long it takes to recover from the operation?
Hi,I understand what you're going thro,I had same procedure 3 Yr ago,but my oxygen levels have remained the same as b4 my op,I take oxygen reading daily ,but I think.my breathlessness is anxiety,it's worse the now as I'm waiting too for another scan as there's small nodule ,my recovery with op was straight forward ,what type of op was it,was it key hole surgery, tracy
Everyone is different with recovery time but iv not got any other health problems I had stopped smoking when I got my biopsy but started smoking again the Last year and so angry with myself for this, just think I'm selfish in doing so
Hi, Sorry to hear that, I hope scan turns out ok. I had keyhole surgery, it was successful. I am also still bringing up fluid from my chest. Maureen
We have been lucky not needing therapy,,have u spoke to your doctor about the fluid
Not recently. I was told at first that it would ease.
I get breathless with doing stuff it makes me panic,I then take oxygen reading but they're fine,I know you can get clinics that do breathing exercises, I forget to breath properly sounds crazy but I'm not always aware ,so it does make you anxious and panicky
