Hi
i have been very breathless since Christmas and finally saw my oncologist three weeks ago. A contract dye CT scan showed fluid around my right lung. I had a litre drained two weeks ago and yesterday it was confirmed that they found cancerous cells within the two linings of my lung. There is no cure for this. Only chemotherapy and or biological treatments to slow it down. Having something fitted next week to drain the fluid over a period of weeks.
three years ago I had the middle lobe of my right lung removed along with the lymph nodes for non small cell cancer and was told they had cured me. No chemotherapy was required. CT scans and x-rays have been done yearly since then. My oncologist said it was possible they had missed this.
I have so many questions that he couldn’t give me answers to.
How are you and your mum coping ? Was this recently? I don’t want to intrude but I would be grateful to chat and find out more about what I am facing.
My husband had no symptoms either.... Found after suspected clot after vaccine booster in A&E... He has had 2 rounds treatment since diagnosis..... Physically he is better than I thought poss except for 1 week...... We are not at all mentally coping.... He is stage 4.......still feel there is a mistake. Scan next month to see if any changes..... He is on triple therapy..........
Thank you and I too return the love and prayers......
