I have stage 2 upper right lung non small cell lung cancer
Hi lettuce thank you and I trying to stay positive I have my last of 20 radiotherapy on Tuesday don't no what to expect after it's finished sorry to hear your in stage 4 has it been stage 4 for 5 years if you do not mind me asking and glad you are staying positive
Hi Lainy, You can ask anything...Yes I was diagnosed in March 2017 after noticing a unusual back ache...turned out I had cancer is lungs, liver, lymph nodes and back...terminal...3 months to live!...had 3 rounds of chemo which nearly killed me...finally had immunotherapy..Pembrolizamab...for 2 years every 3 weeks...miracle for me...I am still here. I would not change a thing which sounds stupid...but I was on a merry go around.....it was a wake up call to appreciate life...which I do every day...happier now than I have ever been. Sometimes the universe throws us a curved ball ...just catch it and throw it back is my motto.
Hiya glad you are doing OK and 5years is great. I was diagnosed with stage 4 and been on a Osimertinib tablet for 6 months. Hope I get 5 years. Take care
Hi ....sorry to hear that...it is strange when they say stage 4 it sort of takes your future away in an instant, thats how I felt...but I only plan 6 months ahead since that diagnosis, but saying that I have really appreciated the time I am here...I live in the now...which is a first for me...I was always planning years ahead....
What I have learned in the last 5 years is ...you know your body best not them... if something is not feeling right in your body then question and challenge treatments
They can get things wrong...get a second opinion if necessary and it feels right to do so
Positive thought is positive energy.........Do things that make you happy,,,smile, sing, play music, see friends..anything you can...and best of all you will never feel guilty now saying no to things you dont want to do...or if you want to binge watch tv...you have license to concentrate on you.
It is a very lonely journey (no matter how much love there is in your life)...no one fully understands unless they have stage 4....so love yourself a lot...pamper yourself.....you will get your 5 years and more...just believe it...x
Hi lettuce7, yes I'm being positive every day I play walking football 2 time a week, but get tired. ....I am stable at present without any treatment for 3 years...so try not to worry....live your best life each day.....so glad you have love around you...in the end its all that matters. No one knows how long they will live ....but positive energy and thoughts has positive results....believe you will get to Greece...and you will.x
